Lach (name) : ウィキペディア英語版
Lach (name)
Lach () is a Polish surname. It originated as a term for ethnic Poles, being ultimately derived from Lechites. Lach (also transliterated Lyakh and Ljach) was used to refer to Poles in Ukraine, Belarus, and Russia. It was also used in Nowy Sącz in south-eastern Poland where the ethnic Poles referred to themselves as ''Lachy Sądeckie''.
Due to population resettlements of ethnic Poles after the Soviet annexation of eastern Polish territories (see Kresy), it is slightly more frequent in western Poland. Over 10,000 people have this surname in Poland.〔(Individuals with the surname Lach in Poland ) 〕〔(Lach Name Meaning and History ) 〕
